    Evening all

We have spent the afternoon moving our decking from the end of our garden in to an unused 'alcove' of the garden. (when I say 'we' I mean OH did it and I held a few bits of wood while he cut them) It just needs a lick of paint a couple of decorations and some climbers to go around the trellis (and ideas - he wants things that don't look dead in the winter) and it'll be done

This now leaves us with a large dead space which we are going to dig over make a pond, plant my apple trees and get some various other plants in there, whatever takes our fancy when we go to the garden centre

Looking good - and I bet you use it more often throughout the year - all you need is a fire pit to warm you in the winter

ETA a good climber that is evergreen, trainable, fragrant white flowers in summer - Trachelospermum Jasminoides.

What a good idea - walk out of the door with coffee/glass in hand and admire the garden
I'd plant something scented up the trellis - like honeysuckle, jasmine, and an evergreen Clematis Armandii Sweet peas in summer.

Agree with scented climbers, nothing better than their fragrance everytime you brush past
