My son in law started to cut down a 40 foot fir tree last night and I am left with the branches to sort out. If I were to shred them and use them as mulch/composting, would this make my soil acidic?

I know I'm not Two Sheds but will this help. Use the pine clippings on things like Rhodendrons, Camelias, Heathers, Blue Berries and anything else that likes an acid soil. I have used on Flower beds as a top up mulch with no ill effects. Compost some separately and you will have free ericaceous compost or use it on paths.Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. Lou Erickson, critic and poet

All my shredded materials go down on paths.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
