I don't know if they're cheaper than a special sunshade - but you could check out the prices of small sails - you'd still need the posts to tie them to, though.

ah true, didnt think of that veggie, it would be more for the bf as Im 5.2. Looks like Ill have to buy some 8 foot posts.

That timer yard is gonna love me, after buying wood to make raised beds, gates and borders I think Im keeping them in business haha
