  • seed organisation / storage

I have become a bit seed obsessed and the packets are swiftly overrunning their biscuit tin/ jiffy bag not to mention dog eared packets. How do you store yours in an organised fashion?

I have 2 tins, one for curcurbits, beans and peas, the other for everything else. Stored under the bed for lack of anywhere else to put them.

Thank you sparrow100. More tins might be the way to go!

I store mine in those plastic tubs that the liquid washing capsules come in. One for toms, one for lettuce, beans, roots, brassicas, flowers, and a couple for anything else.

I started with one old fashioned biscuit tin and now have four. One for direct sowings at the plot, another for green manures, another for peas & beans and the other for everything else

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Im about to buy one of this. I have a small one but not big enough anymore Plastic Storage Box with 4 Organiser Trays Tool Case for Craft/Garage/Screws | eBay

To make them a bit tidy I put leftover seeds in small zip bag with a label.

I am using a shoe box to store my seeds.

Yep, I pinched VC's idea and it is working well. No more slidy escapees hiding at the bottom of the box making me think I need to buy new seed

I still have a few empty video boxes - better buy some seeds to fill them up, methinks

My seeds are in boxes so I can rummage through them

I find any excuse to rummage through mine

I love new seeds, their shapes and sizes.. A creative bunch here :-) I keep sorting them and resorting them when I've had a planting out frenzy. I like the idea of a separate storage for direct sowings. Something I've yet to be brave enough to try!!
