What projects do you have on this year?

I am looking to move the greenhouse as I dont think it was getting enough light and heat, I also want to install the pond I was meant to be doing last year, anyone got any recomendation on solar water features?

What are you guys up too?

We are building a massive car port about 8mx5m, it will attach to our house.

I am hoping to get a greenhouse or if i am very very lucky a conservatory, but they seem quite expensive.

Last year we did our kitchen but yet to tile it so that is pretty high up on the list.

We bought 2 pallets of broken white marble for tiling outside and we only ever got a path done so hoping to tile all up by the pool.

Must paint the living room again, i do not know how it gets so bad.

And finally get on top of some of these weeds!!

oh and of course the normal gardening like a crazed person

I bought a few of these.........SOLAR WATER PUMP FOR FOUNTAIN GARDEN POND WK | eBay ..............some 4mm tubing, got hold of some tacky plastic frogs, drilled some holes in them & fed the tubing through the frogs so it looked like they were spitting.

I got a new 6m x 3m polytunnel for xmas which needs putting up and the 3m x 2m polytunnel its replacing will be moved and turned into a fruit cage - or possibly a brassica cage.
I've been wanting to extend one of my sheds and intended that being a winter project, but my shoulder problems have put paid to that, so maybe during spring.
At home we intend replacing the lean to conservatory and putting a nice greenhouse at the bottom of the garden, converting the garages into a summer house and we need to build a permanent home for the bantams.
After that, we might have time to get on with the really big jobs!

Just got the OK from the allotment committee last week.

We're putting in a walk in chicken run (8ft x 8ft) in the next couple of weeks.
I'm still clearing and developing my secret mummy's garden (dog and child free) in the bottom third of our garden.
And I'm really going to have to get to grips with making my allotment more manageable for when my mobility is very poor.

New , more private ,sitting area in the garden/ field, a short distance from the house.
Got everything already apart from trees( reserved, but waiting for the cold snap to finish) and pea gravel.

So ..Apple cart...yep, old park bench...yep, large boulders....yep, .....trees...sorted,shrubs to plant and seeds to sow...yep.

Just need the man to find time to help with it!

we're hoping to move this year so getting the house in top condition (slowly) - all those little jobs my OH starts but never quite finishes

between that, gardening and the three massive exams I have this year, alongside working full time that will be it for a while. Next year once I've moved though there'll be gardening projects EVERYWHERE!

I'm hoping to build a hugelkultur bed/bank where we currently have the remains of a log stack.
When we've emptied the woodshed this winter MrPP will split and stack the remaining timber (it is all in one or two metre lengths at the moment and the fire only takes 35cm logs , so a BIG job) and the mess left at the bottom will be the start of the bed.
The bank will run east west so I'm plannng on putting raspberries on the north side so their feet get a bit of shade, and the south side might have some extra tomatoes/melons/chillies.
Or just pretty things as it is at the top of a bank above the drive.

And I have the next section of bare clay bank to plant up wth things that don't mind having no soil and their roots cooked solid or flooded!

Dig up a huge chunk of the lawn to create a flower/vegetable bed.

Create two new raised beds nearer the house, one for herbs and one for salad/leaves.
Knock down the single walled, single glazed leaking rickety heat-suck that is my current kitchen extension and build a new one (not personally, my DIY skills are basically at the level of putting up shelves).

Rip out the flooring and wallpaper from under the stairs, re-do it and the skirting board and put up shelves to create a pantry/veg store, with help from a friend

Well is a bit difficult for me because I have many project open or ready to be done but when is the problem.
Project 1: doing the May path and the base of the greenhouse and replace some missing glass (I have all the material for the job but still in waiting list)
Project2 : make a brassica cage ( I have and polytunnel frame and a massive roll of scaffold net but again still in waiting list
Project 3: repair the left side fence on the plot ( I have 10posts tension wire and net but I don't find the time for it)
Plus I have a big watch list of item on eBay to buy for other project wich I'm tiring not to buy anything until I finish this three project.
Btw I manage to sort the greenhouse at home replacing policarbonate sheets and secure it properly.

Well, now there's a question!
To get the garden into some sort of shape we have to..........

Level the slabs that were put down in a rush because we had no path after the Council (bless em) ripped it out. Mind you they took the back gate as well so.....

Construct greenhouse.

Fill raised beds.

Flatten down the area where the gravel is going and then cover with weed control.

Re home yet more roses to make space for buggie flowers

Slabs under the bedroom window (yep Council again) as the cats use it for..........

Get wall baskets on walls.

Do water butt attachment thingy

Finish filling the tyres ready for the strawbs
