  • terracotta pot repair, is it worth it?

Went to B&Q to pick up free pot thanks to Daily Mail and on way home, with daughter driving, went a tad too quick over bad unlevel crossing and one pot is no longer, the other has a 9inch hair line crack. Any ideas? I hate waste and I'm gutted even though they were free

I use old broken pots as crocks in the bottom of other pots. Can't see mending working too well but you could try.

The cracks will open as the soil expands and contracts, first frost will probably blow it as well

There is some stuff you can buy, but I've never found it very successful. Buy another Daily Mail?

Broken pots can be fixed with gorrilla glue, it is amazing! Not sure on the crack though

When was the voucher in for free pots?

That's never been a good solution to anything

Gorilla glue! On it like jam on toast...how to get it in the crack though? Voucher only in paper on Saturday.
              Pot couldn't have been thinner,still, mustn't whinge.
Update. Gorilla glue going to cost more than price of pot. Dilemma.
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure

                    ^^^^ nice idea!
I've gone it previously with a couple of broken pots and have to say they look lovely, even with simple house leeks ( there are a few different looking ones around) ...just watch out sort the sharp edges though - espesh when you are weeding around them

Not pretty but at least it's useable for this year. Not my idea, gleaned it off Youtube.
The white stuff is some of that epoxy resin putty stuff that you knead together, found it in the shed, years old and thought it had gone off. Drilled a big hole on the crack line so the filler would hopefully bind it backed with my some knitting
