Looking for easier ways to attach plastic mesh, how do you do it?

Looking for some advice....
How do you guys attach thick plastic garden mesh to a wall?

I usually drill and put eye screws in then tie it on with zip ties but I want a easier way.

Fasten a wooden batten to the wall then staple the netting to the batten.
