One of the main reasons I'd go deeper 4' to soffit-ish is to orotect the pipe from accidental damage. I assume you won't be trafficking over it with anything too heavy though so that will help.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Not over the pipe, no - I'm planning on digging the pipe channel along one side of the path rather than down the centre to try and minimise potential for weight damage.

O sparrow It be a bit far for me, but if I was passing your way some time I would love to have a look at your lovely plots.I am positive you will be just fine just make sure you drain it to the lowest point on your plot.

You'd be very welcome Mark! Am installing a camping stove + kettle once the shed's moved. I might never leave.

Off to the bottom of the plot - the higher right-hand side. Where I should have put it from the start...Am emptying it at the moment while I still have Mum's massive car.

In my newbie numptiness of 2013 I also dug a path waaaay too deep, which now needs to be back filled and raised so the shed can sit across it.
