I have something very similar to the 'job specific tool box' their call Snickers multi pocket trousers, trouble is you have to careful as they fall down with the weight...........

I've never seen multipocketed knickers - though when I was a young un, mine had one pocket - how the heck were you supposed to get your hankie our without lifting your frock? Weird idea!

I can't enter this into the Comp as I've already made it but I think it's awesome anyway. I call it The Job Specific Toolbox, so basically instead of humping a heavy toolbox around, you decide what tools are needed for the specific job you plan to do. So in my case today, I needed hammer, nails, marker pen, string, screws, screwdriver & tape measure............I used a large washing liquid container, cut a section out to take the tools, the hammer fed up through the pouring spout & sat in the container, the rest placed inside the container.

I've got a simpler version.............its called a Sainbury's carrier bag. At 5p a knock I may as well get some use from it!

The Stanley & Dickies trousers I have just bought have about 20 pockets but for the very reason you mention I won't be using them to carry tools............unless I buy some braces...........

The carrying aid would also double up as a good paint carrier. Just put your brush in the spout & paint in the container...........unlike a carrier bag........

I have a cut down 2 litre milk carton with paint and brush for marking penalty spots and centre spots on football pitches! Gets a bit messy in a carrier bag!

You could always cut a small hole in the bottom Snadge & pipe it out like icing............

Ok Guys, Here We Go!

As I am not a big fan of competitions or polls, I thought it would be better if we just shared our ideas & maybe give a bit of inspiration to others who may not have thought of them...............So here goes my 1st idea of 2017.

2ft x 1ft LED Growlight Mk1.....Total cost approx £10......I'm calling it Mk1 as I have a Mk2 in mind..............


Stage 1:
Parts Reqd: A Storage box of your choice, some blue & red LED strips & a 12v 2a power adaptor...........links can be provided if needed. The LED's are cut to size & stuck to the lid of the box, they are then solder linked together:



Stage 2:
Test that the lights work then cover with a piece of clear polycarb to keep the lights in place.:



Stage 3:
Place the Growlight in your favoured position:

Cheers Cad. Time was not an issue for me but if I was to start from scratch, I would be tempted to pay a little more & buy from the UK.

BM Interesting stuff and I have been watching lots of videos about LED vs CFL bulbs etc. Looking forward to your MKII version, If I could make room in the shed I may be able to make a small 600x600 frame to go on top of the small fridge freezer but as LED does not give heat I may have to think about a heat mat or perhaps heated propagators with an LED solution above covering the 6500 - 2100 L Blue Red Spectrum.

I'm looking forward to what you come up with Al. I made mine before I looked at any vids & found I have put too many blues to reds but will see how it works. I did 50/50 & it should be less blue.
