Extractor fan for GH?

Hi

I've got one knocking about somewhere, for the GH would I have it taking the air out as it should or turn it around and and have it as a fan blowing inside?!

Would it make any difference?
It may be a little gentler on the plants by extracting as opposed to blowing.

It's all about air flow so for it to get out it has to get in somewhere to replace it.

I assumed either a door or vents would be open on this airtight greenhouse.

I can whack an air vent in a panel (wood one at the side as the GH is against a summerhouse) so my airtight GH can suck fresh air in no problem. Means I don't have to mess about opening windows and doors every hot day in the summer if the fan does the job.

Only thinking of the summer, would it be benificial to use during winter? Suppose it's just suck in cold air?!

I leave the doors and windows open throughout the summer. Even today, they're open and will be closed as the sun goes down.
Open windows and doors allow pollinators in - extractor fans don't!

Didn't think of that! I work 12 hour shifts, not sure if I'd remember to open stuff before leaving for work early or after a 12 hour night shift.

Maybe it'll be fine for then and can do doors when at home between shifts.

Automatic vent openers and a solar powered fan or fans and you have the best of both worlds.

I have no issues having the fan running 24/7 for the sake of a couple quid a month if it's worth it

I was thinking more greenhouse on an Allotment with no electrical supply and it's going to get hot when the suns out
