can anyone tell me the best stuff to put on new doors I want to keep the new wood look so don't want to use any coloured paint or varnish,I used some stuff from screwfix that preserves the wood but I later found dosen't seal it ! (£20 for nowt grr) all the rain made the doors swell up .atb Dal.

The hardest stuff is probably yacht varnish, but it won't last many years and needs rubbing down and reapplying regularly. There is a reason the old Creosote (or even coal tarred) old barns and agricultural buildings survive, it works very well. It smells, and it requires careful handling and you don't want it in the ground where you are growing food, but it just works.
The other option is some kind of oil like used on teak and a quick application every year or two.
Modern fence or shed protection in a number of colours or shades is not much use for long term protection and needs a new application every two years.
