Cutting a long story short, I've had some problems with the polytunnel where I had to shore it up against the elements. One problem I still had was water collecting on the roof and made it sag so I've added these blocks to tighten it. I haven't fastened them in yet but I will shortly.

I can only think of 2 options Dynamo:
1. Do as you are doing & raise the cover.

We had a good downpour last night but the top of the polytunnel was puddle free so result :-D
Today I screwed the wood into place after just having the tightness of the plastic holding it in place. There's a bit of a gale blowing outside now so we'll see if my modification holds up overnight.Comment

I'm wondering about the wood rubbing against the plastic & causing a hole or tear with the force of the wind etc Something like a bit of bubble wrap over the wood edges wouldn't be as rough on the plastic?Location : EssexComment
