Have bought 'Shenshyu' onion sets for planting in sept/oct however the label says plant Feb/April?

Sites on tinterweb say they are ok for overwintering, can anybody confirm?

Also if i want to keep one bag (bought 2) for next spring how is it best to store?

    Thanks

Shenshyu are deffo Autumn planting onions for overwintering!

They are the original ones and I have grown them from seed last year. They are often referred to as Japanese onions and are especially bred to cope with the short days of winter.
As there is a bigger selection of Spring sown onion sets I would Autumn plant both packs and buy new in the spring!
