We started to discuss Companion planting in another thread and it was starting to get interesting, so I have started a new thread with that title in the hope that we could put all the same information together.
I'm still reading the book I bought by Bob Flowerdew but as I think I mentioned before; there is lots of information but it is all spread out with out individual plants receiving their own section. It makes it rather hard to get all the information I need to start planing my raised beds for next year.
I'm sure I'm not the only one drooling over seed catalogues at this time of year.
I went and Goggled the subject under the search "Companion vegetables" and I found a few good sites with helpful information. Here are the links to see what everyone thinks.
Companion Planting: Basic Concept and Resources
Vegetable Companion Chart
vegetable and herbs which grow well together
Companion plants "long list"
I hope this will help me next year as I wish to be as chemical free as I can. After all, the things I put on my plants will only end up on my dinner table, and I am not so keen on greenfly and bugs either I prefer my proteen to to have less legs (2&4 only) or fins.
