Unknown plant

Does anyone know what this might be? I found it growing in a window box. I don't think I planted it? Is it a weed? It has huge long roots.

I agree, Nick, looks like that awful invasive "grass" that pops up everywhere when your back is turned.
Bin it before it spreads any more.

I found these under the covers in the raised bed I inherited from previous allotment holder. Is this a weed?
