Rhubarb?

Hi all, since the weather calmed a little midweek we've been back at the allotment doing some more clearing and digging. While moving a pile of bramble roots to put on the burn pile I uncovered what I'm assuming is rhubarb and hoping it's not just a weed pretending to be rhubarb



They seem to be oddly plonked by the path in an area which was covered in bramble before we cut them down, can they be moved? There was also another small one a little further down the path which I'd knocked the leaf off before actually realising it was there, is this one salvageable?

Sorry for the absolutely novice questions I don't really know much about rhubarb

Yes rhubarb - unless its really in the way I'd leave it where it is for now, and move it next Autumn.

I agree: give it a summer of love, light and manure to enable it to strengthen itself. You should then be able to move it if you wish in November.

Rhubarb does like manure. Years ago we had a spare bag of manure so dug hole, manure in hole, stuck rhubarb on top, covered it over. Thing grew massive.

In slight disagreement, if it is in the way of anything, like feet, then maybe move it (and give it some manure). Just standing on it will be worse then being moved to a safer location.
