    Hello 4seasons and welcome to the Vine! Not sure about your seaweed q - though if I was to make a guess, I'd say a couple of weeks.

    Don't worry, I'm sure that you'll get a much less haphazard answer pretty shortly...

      I think I'd just rinse the salt off seaweed and put it straight on to the compost heap. I'd use nettle or comfrey for soaking in water. Unless someone knows different...??

        I put my seaweed straight on the garden (I do rinse it first to get rid of the salt). It breaks down in no time
