We used to use those tiny bottles of cheap belgian beer you can get in multi packs from Lidl in our beer traps. It smells disgusting but the slugs love it, wouldn't touch it with a bargepole myself though but at only pence per bottle it didn't work out as too expensive a slug killer.Haven't used beer traps this year though as I hate emptying the smelly bodies out!
