  • sprouting spuds

    hi hope you can help i bought yet more seed spuds yesturday but they are already sprouting in the bag the woman at the shop said its coz of the weather we are havin there all like that this year just break them off if they are damaged and more will grow. now i knew at the time that it sounded funny but now i'm left wondering if i should take them back and give her a stiff talkin to or will they be good spuds.

      I used already sprouting spuds last year, they seemed to be ok and doing well.
      Then unfortunatley blight hit.
      Personally and i'm no expert get them in sooner than later and i'd think they'd be ok.Especially has it so mild down here at the moment. (I'm in Devon)

        Take them out of the bag and place them shoots upwards in a nice bright cool spot and leave them to do their thing. They will be fine.

          thankyou it was just the snap them off bit that worried me. thats ok i'm back to having far too many then.
