  • hello all

    just thought id drop in and say hi ive read some of your forums and as im new to growing fruit and veg i thought i could maybe get some much needed advice !!! i decided to turn some of my garden into a fruit and veg patch as im off sick from work and am getting quite bored, at home, and im hoping growing things will keep me busy ive also just got a composter which the wind has blown back down the garden......ahhhhhh but its all good fun and is keeping me busy............

    Hi Raptergirl, welcome to the Vine. Where do you live/garden - it doesn't say on your post. If you go to your profile you can enter a location - it doesn't have to be a town, can just be a county but it does help when we answer your posts to be able to see whereabouts you are. I'm assuming it's UK, but our weather is so variable that different parts of the country can really affect sowing planting and harvesting dates. Hope you have fun on this site, as well as getting advice.

          Hi Rapter, welcome to the forum. You must live near me 'cos the last few days I've been chasing wayward composters up and down the path, as well as just about anything else thats not nailed down!

              Welcome, sure you'll enjoy it here, I've learnt loads from everyone on here and I ask some really dumb questions but someone always helps me!!

                  hi all thanks for the warm welcome and thanks terrier at least i know mine isnt the only compost bin making a bid for freedom !!!! ive been ut and dug a trench around it planted it in the trench and then covered it with soil im sure it wont be escaping again.......unless yours terrier tries helping it .........
