  • Feeding Brassicas

    Hi all,

My over wintering brassicas, cabbage, caulis and psb are going on nicely, albeit with competition from pigeons and slugs. The ground was manured and had a sprinkling of fish and bone on planting. Should I do any feeding now? I have wormery juice and chicken manure pellets, should I use them?

I chucked a sprinkling of chicken poo around mine a couple of weeks ago, as we'd had a lot of rain I thought the nutrients might have been a bit washed away! The only thing to be careful of, is encouraging too much 'soft' new growth which might get hit hard by frosts. If it's peeing down, then it should be ok I think!

I don't feed mine at this time of year. They feed me! I'm a hard woman!

Mine have a little way to go yet, no real hearts or florets showing yet.
