Mine are in a small cardboard box kept in the kitchen and divided into months for sowing. Kept some outside last year in one of those plastic storage shed type things but found some of the packets chewed so won't be doing that again.

Mine are spread between an old (1980's I reckon!) Victoria biscuit tin and a plastic storage box. They are in alphabetical order, except I have recently had to separate out all the beans into the plastic box as I ran out of room. The lid doesn't fit on the tin anymore.

Oh, and thanks a bunch to all those seed merchants who seem to think we need enormous packets. You're no help at all

Mine are in two old chicken pellet bukets with a lid on inside is seperated with two bits of ply made into a cross so you get four compartments in one tub.

totally agree with you there and those vaccum packs, though a good idea are a fiddle to open up again once you have opened them, the packets i like are the one with foil one side and clear the other so you can see how many you have left without have to open the packet up, well for the small seeds anyway, other than that i keep mine in a tin indoors after the mice got some and damp some others making them moldy

So lots of various places to keep them, I am not doing anything 'wrong' with them yet! They will go in the shed in an old biscuit tin.

I work at a local garden centre sometimes, when my boss used some seeds he left in a non airtight box they didn't come up half as well as the others... I was suprised to see what a difference it makes! I won't be leaving mine out again

We use these by the really useful company.

Most beans and peas are kept in jars inside one of these, flower seeds in another and veg seeds in a third. They are waterproof, stackable and Kazzi uses different sized ones for her card making and beadwork stuff.

Mini brown envelopes inside an old coffee tin, (huge) nescafe one. I also have some in a click box, which stops air getting into them.

                                Hi

I use to keep all my seeds in an old metal lunch box which has a footballer on the front but for my birthday I received a nail set which came in a lovely peach & red floral tin so now Aprils seeds are in there.
                                Bye
