  • Planting out comfrey

I received 10 comfrey plants from the organic catalogue a few weeks ago, and as i didn't have time to plant them out i put them in pots. They are sprouting up beautifully and i will be planting them down the allotment soon.
BUT - the info says to plant them 2ft apart, so this means with 10 plants i'm going to have a 20ft row of comfrey! I don't want to do it in a row, but does anybody know the best spacing for a bed of comfrey? Maybe i don't need all 10 plants and could donate some to other allotment people.
    Thanks

Don't know the official spacing but they do grow biggg!!! We'll get at least three/four 'crops' from ours.
