i found 2 different seeds in the compost from b&q,1 looks to be a been seed just sprouting,2 anybodys guess, have potted them up as yet nothing, time will tell,i wonder if the compost companies are sending it to the outlets to soon,as mine also has white powdery stuff on the woody bits, gives the impression of not quite rotted,so could that be the answer why we got these stray plants

well i will do, well, i'll try

if you think they're bad, you ought to see them today!!

might just leave em to grow AS they are and see just how tall they get

can you be cruel to plants in this way? will somebody come and take them away from me for neglect??

yes, yes, most did at least germinate...but as everyone else knew(all except me, lol) they weren't the ones i thought they were. ...however, during this exercise, i discovered that onions(grown from seed) are pretty weak little things. and most withered and died...so, i just left all those in situ, thinking they were lost...but one little onion decided time wasn't up for her yet, and sprouted the top again, and is still fighting away, lol...out of the original tray i planted, some cabbage, several tomato, loads of beetroot, and one single onion seedling survived... but, for a tray that i might have given up on...it's not a bad one

You will have put so much love into rearing him, that you won't be able to eat him. I did that with "Harry", my first carrot seedling last year
                    NO NAMES THIS YEAR!!!!!!
                    Do it! Life's too short
