  • Potato worries :-(

Hi there - I put a load of potatoes (International Kidney) into pots on my patio about 3 weeks ago. They had shoots about 1 cm long on them and I covered the tops of the pots with fleece. Up to now there is still no sign of anything..... I am beginning to think that they are all rotted and dead How long should this take? I know that it has been cold and wet but pretty mild for the last week now with some sun and still nothing.... please help!

Last year my Desiree and Anya tatties took 3 weeks before any sign of shoots appeared above ground. They were well chitted too and planted at the start of April.

      I wouldn't worry yet!
