Pointed Tomatos????

Hi Guys

Im a little confused

I am growing tomatos this year and the first fruits have started to develop but the bottom of the fruit is very pointy ??

Im not sure why this is and if indeed it is a problem ?? Is it just the variety??

My neighbour gives me a couple of tomato plants every year - always one italian variety and one lebanese - we never know which is which...but one of them grows pointy tomatoes so I wouldn't worry...it's just the variety that you've got probably - what was on the seed packet?

Hello Rofey, I would think this is the variety. Have a look at the seed packet.

Last year every tomato on one plant grew with a funny curly end almost like a hook. Very strange but limited to the one plant. The tomatoes still tasted great though and thats all that matters.

The label just quotes them as being an f1 tumbler so all being well they should look and taste great .
