Potato Blight - what does it look like?

My main crop king eds have gone all yellow/dried up, spindley & falling over- where before they were lush & green and the flower buds haven't opened- I know the chickens have settled under them for shade during the extreme heat but I doubt they have caused this...does this sound like blight or a case of dire thirst ??

On a brighter note - my 3 year old son ate all his peas & cauliflower tonight & they both from my veggie patch! One giant leap for home-grown!! Yey !!

Sunbeam, probably just drought as blight usually shows black splodges on the leaves & stems & looks horrible. Good luck with it whatever it is.

Hi SueA I have had a nose about the internet & think (hope) you are right - there are no black splodges etc - so I guess it is a case of keeping them hydrated... and keeping my fingers crossed - many thanks for the info - Adrienne
