I removed my fleece type covering around 5 weeks ago and things seem to be going well. Am I right in thinking the carrot fly have a second "batch" in August - and if so, should/when should I cover my carrots and parnships up again? Dont want to fall foul of yet another "pesky little varmint!" dexterdogBernie aka DDL
Appreciate the little things in life because one day you will realise they are the big things

hi
i am a relative novice, what exactly do carrot fly do - how can you tell what has eaten the carrots. i had a bed full of carrots - just germinated (at the stage of two little leaves) and the next week they were al gone - (i only get to the veg once a week). Also, as i dont get there very often, would peas be a bad choice for next year - i live in the south - London so not much surplus water!!!
thanks
