  • Poorly tomatoes

    Hello

Most of my tomato plants have suddenly gone a bit sickly looking, some outside in pots, the rest in the greenhouse - some are in hanging baskets, the others are in pots waiting to go into a grow-bag. Some of their leaves have gone a bit brownish-yellow like they are burnt / dying. I have been careful not to splash water on the leaves whilst watering so i don't think it can be that, the temp in the greenhouse has been up to about 30 degrees so is it too hot for them - i have been leaving the vents & door open & the windows are on auto-openers. The ones already in the grow-bags seem ok but seem to have come to a halt height wise and they're only about knee high! What am i doing wrong?

Incidently my red robin tomatoes which are in pots in the greenhouse are in full bloom so they seem ok - i'm just waiting for the fruit now!

    Many thanks!

is it the leaves towards the bottom of the plant? The oldest ones so to speak. If so this happens quite often and if the top of the plant looks green enough then they should be okay. You can remove the yellowing leaves. I'd seriously consider getting them all in to their final growing place though.

Have you started feeding them once a week?

I haven't been feeding them as i thought i had to wait until they were in flower - should i start feeding them now? I have tomorite and liquid seaweed. Some of the brown leaves are near the bottom, will try chopping them off & see how they do - they have 2 options!
