Not a stupid question at all. I use loads of these too. Would be good to know they have a life after.....

PS which ones do you use?

the ones with the white scourer on, the non stick ones. prefer these to the other ones, the dark green ones

used to get morrisons ones, but they've got really small and weedy and never did more than 2 washing ups. so i get them now in my local "savers" shop. 59p for 5, and they're much meatier than the ones in morrisons. i tend to buy 4 packs at a time. and change every couple of days. i have 2 or 3 on the go, as they go from brand new - used a bit, they get relegated to dirtier washing and washing cutlery (which pulls the scourer to bits) and a new one gets used on my cups/glassware and plates...and so on..gotta have a system!

*can't believe i've found that much to say about washing up sponges...and i could go on*

LOL, I use Tesco value ones - 5 for 14p. They get used for all sorts, but the dishwasher does the washing up.

I buy the cheapest ones I can find, use them 2 or 3 times and bin them. I reckon they're jumping by that time. If you're not prepared to bleach them they're best just binned. Unless some other Grape knows better.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
