    Having had some success with various veggies the one thing that refuses to grow are mushrooms.

    Binned the last box and now got three new ones (two chestnut.white closed cup one oyster)

    And success at last - I have oysters wooppee

    Still no darned 'normal' ones yet though. I've followed the instructions to the letter but I just can't get it - why don't they like me

    can you get your hands on spent mushroom compost. i managed to and sprinkled some compost or top soil over it and wait a while then loads will come thru

      Thanks Hawthorns, looked this morning and I've got buttons , looks like I have been covering up what I thought was the white thready bits on the top layer was actually the buttons trying to come through
