Well, I've gone and done it. I've planted out more caterpillar food.
Been putting it off for ages, poor things have been hardening for weeks, but looking at my skeletons that are cabbages (5 are still alive) I have finally taken the plunge planted out the lovingly nurtured cauliflowers.
I netted half of them - the nets wouldn't stretch further - scattered organic slug pellets everywhere. Let the battle commence.
Checked the following morning caterpillar on one of the netted ones
Duly squidged, inspected all the rest and the remaining cabbages, and not another one in sight. I am hoping that the netted one had been flutterbied before entering the war zone.
