Hi all!
Slowly and surely, we're getting things into shape for next year. This year, being my first attempt is now being classed as a dry run, you know, to get into the swing of things for next year's proper run at it! (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)
Anyway, I've just added another four raised beds and have a nice pile of turned turf in the corner now that I'm hoping to use in the beds when it good and ready.
My question is: Can I actually put it in the beds, turned obviously, and covered with the intention of it readying itself 'in situ' as it were? I'll need to mulch it come that time, but basically thought it would kill two birds with one stone if it were matured in the place it will end up anyway! I have enough to half-fill the new beds as there is extra turf from another project.
