Fruit trees

Where are your fruit trees growing at the moment (pots or open ground), Jilly, and why do you need to move them?

I have them at the end of my garden,they are not in pots.I want to move them to one side of the garden as i am growing veg just above where the trees are at the moment and i want to extend my growing space for veg.

We bought an apple tree to plant over our dead cat a couple of weeks ago. It was ( the tree) dug up from the specialist nursery and put in a plastic bag with the advice to plant it ASAP and the remove all the leaves.
From that I'd say now is fine- just remove any leaves on it.
Water it daily for he next couple of weeks if it doesn't rain..and continue on and off during the winter.
Soil s warmer now than in the Spring- sooner rather than later to give it a chance to grow a few more roots. ( just a thought....I wonder if warmish water would help it along a bit too??...just a thought!)
