i planted a bare root apple tree about 6-8 weeks ago and is starting to produce small leaves now and was checking if a frost does these vulnurable shoots any harm

Oh dear, it sounds as if it's a bit confused doesn't it? I expect a frost will see the leaves off, but hopefully it'll come again in the spring. I don't think wrapping it up will help it in the long run - it'll still be confused with the seasons

All my fruit trees, as well as the decorative trees, have been confused this year. I'm sure your's will be all right. Prune it each year and keep the soil in good heart and your grandchildren will be picking apples off it.Comment
