This is the third year of our asparagus beds. We’ve yet to harvest some. However I am worried that the minus 6 degrees temperature last night may have killed them. They are in raised beds and not showing yet ( obviously). We are in Northamptonshire. Any advice would appreciated.

as Ameno says theyre tough its the emerging shoots that are tender but subsequent shoots(spears) will be OK

you might loose the first few shoots if they are already above ground but the crowns are pretty hardy and they will shoot again, just a bit later.Follow my grow and cook your own blog
