  • Plant/perennial advice, please?

    โ€‹ Happy Sunday, all... ๐Ÿ˜Š

    I'm not a newbie, it's just that there's so much I still don't know.

Eg our genius landlord has dug up a scabby old hedge that was only good for weeds and somewhere for snails to abseil from into my raised bed. He's replaced it with a beautiful fence.

There's now a lovely large border, but it's south-facing and gets very windy. Might anyone know the best sort of shrub or perennial to plant there?

Thanks in advance. (No idea why my pic has uploaded sideways ๐Ÿค”)

Had you thought of mixing blackcurrants and gooseberries underplanted with perennial flowering plants?
      Maybe rhubarb?
Or even turning it completely into a veg patch? With flowers around the edges?
If you wanted colour then you can always fix colourful planters onto the fence.
