Done this I tip most in the compost bin mixed in with the hay/litter but if I'm planting out something I think might like it I'll throw a handful of fresh in the bottom of the hole.

I read recently that bunny poo is the only manure which can be used fresh. Apparently it's the straw/shavings which take the time to compost down.

I'm sure there someone some where that has made themselves up a special riddle for sifting out the straw
