T & M order error

Interesting. Generally I've been fine with T&M but at the end of Dec I ordered some seed pots and other things during a no P&P charges special offer (having first ploughed through threads here on which varieties taste best). I received an email to say that the pots were out of stock, which was mildly annoying but no great problem and the flower seeds I'd ordered arrived quickly. Then out of the blue last week all the pots were delivered! I hadn't got around to going anywhere else, so I'm not overstocked but it was bizarre.

I did an order through T&M in December.. it was over £10, but I forgot to complete the section for the free packet of seeds that comes with that purchase amount. I realized it about three days later, sent them an email with my request in the off chance they might still give it to me, they replied the next day and said they would send it right out in a separate package because my order had already been shipped. I thought it was really great of them, it was my own fault for forgetting.. yet they sent me my free seeds plus paid the extra postage.
This was my second order through them, and the first was my £10 voucher from GYO.. so it wasn't like I was some big spending loyal costumer.

Got around to ringing T and M yesterday, and on the second attempt at calling finally got through to them.
A nice lady explained to me that my item would be despached between January and April although all the items i ordered according to the delivery times were for a January despachSo it could be a bit of a wait yet.

Heard from T & M yesterday and am pleased to say that they did exactly as SmallBluePlanet said they would. I emailed and they told me to keep the wrong seeds and they are sending out the correct ones.

Thanks for the help and advice. I'll know what to do should anything like that happens again.

Register for their emails on their website, they send you offers most weeks, and twice a year you get half price offers on seeds, with the most expensive packet free. Just before Xmas they had free postage which was very useful for the seed potatoes (and again the most expensive seeds free). Also they had £10 of seeds for £1 last autumn. The ones you don't want can be swapped on the seed swap site on this forum. I know some folk don't like them, but I've never had any bother with them.

Like cupcake says some people don't like them but I have been buying from them for years and rarely had any problems. When I have they have sorted it out pretty quickly and to my satisfaction.
They do indeed have some very good offers and their half price offers are when I buy all the flower and vegetable seeds I need for the coming season and sometimes have extras to swap with other gardeners.

I had a problem with T&M this month as well.

The envelope arrived with bill and lots of blurb but the seeds were nowhere to be seen.

Emailed them - took a few days for a reply but had a nice apology and correction promised today.

They were really good last year, but still buying from them is a treat - it's way too expensive to buy everything you want from them.

i ordered some seeds from them 10 packs for £1.99 but only 5 packes arrived
one polite email later and

Dear Sir

Thank you for your recent email.

I can confirm that there has been a keying error and you have been sent the
wrong collection, please keep the seeds with our compliments and in the mean
time I have arranged for the 10 seed offer to be sent.

I love T&M I've been using their seed for years, never had a germination failure even when I was an absolute novice. Although in the last couple of years I've bought more 'Heritage' varieties, and tried other suppliers, I still use more of their seeds than anyone elses. I had 2 lots of seeds from 'AN Other Well Known Supplier' which weren't even the seeds in the packets they were labelled as! 'Walking Stick Kale' turned out to be dwarf green curly kale

following my phone call to t &m i never have had an answer to previous 2 e mails sent to them. onions which in the catalogue said a january despach i was told could be up untill april for delivery.So today went to wilkys and bought the same stuttgarten onions there and cheaper to.I also bought a propagator for less than £3.00 24 cell size,witha proper perspex lid and vents.
