Too early to mow?

We've had a dry spell..... the grass seems to be starting to grow and I've just seen the council mowing the local playing fields..... can I tidy up my scruffy looking lawn or should I leave it a few weeks.....

I cut mine at the weekend. Well, it was SO raggy looking. There's not much of it anyway and I'm not a lawn fan, so if I've trashed it - am I bovvered?

Gave mine it's first cut last week - looks so much better....just be gentle!

Thanks! Lawn is now mown ...it's unbelievable how much having a tidy lawn makes to the appearance of the garden!!! I've not taken it short.... it's a '4' on the length setting, but it really makes the garden look great.
