  • Garlic overwinter?

    Hi all,
A few of my garlic's got away from me and started to regrow before I had harvested them.

I've just divided them up and replanted any that had decent roots. Does anyone know if they will overwinter Ok or should I start again with new?

    Hi Caroline,

They should be fine, I've always found that autumn planted garlic grows a lot better than spring planted so you should end up with some whoppers!

      Garlic

They will be okay. You can also leave some to grow in clusters and use them in late spring as you would with spring onions, of course they would taste of garlic ( mild ) perfect for stir fry, omelettes etc.
