Do I need to sew the covers?

I have covered two of my beds with enviromesh, yay! Where it meets in the middle of the bed I have overlapped it by about 6 inches. Do I need to sew these together? Bearing in mind I am carp at sewing!

Surely the little buggies cant crawl through?

ps enviromesh may well be effective but is darn ugly!

What about trying a stapler or safety pins?

Hey well done Fiona!!. Stapling sounds like a good idea, it's always difficult balancing a sewing machine on top of raised beds I've got a quarter covered at the moment so no where near finished yet.
