My allotment is only about 3 miles away round trip. However on nice days (and when I have nothing to take or bring back) I usually walk from home along the canal bank to the allotment which takes about 20 mins there.
It looks like quite a lot of us are lucky in travelling such a short distance.Comment

mines 5mins away too, which is really handy when the clocks alter next week, can pop over for an hour on an evening too
