I'm also a member of seed hoarders anonymous. I haven't counted my packets but I'm into 3 huge boxes full. I only take out one box at a time in case my Dad spots them, just the current month's seeds. He used to plant an entire packet when I was little at the same time, he never understood successional sowing. It's great being back sharing my parent's garden, loads of seeds are in. Just seen about polyculture, yippee, looks like an excuse to plant even more of my seeds closer together to get more for my square metre.
Did make the most of the Wyevale offer in the Autumn, loads of packets of seeds for 50p each, must spend an hour or 2 counting packets.

          Blog vs Notebook

I keep a notebook for names of seeds and plants I've bought, a general 'what I did today' summary, notes on when things come into flower, when tadpoles and other wildlife appear, blah blah... My memory is awful so it has become a useful reference tool. On days when I'm not well enough to get into the garden, looking through this notebook - and the endless photos of my garden on the laptop! - cheers me up
Of course, you can always use this place to Blog your notes and put photos up at the same time. That way we can all enjoy what you've done and learn from you! :-)

The old system was most likely no good anyway

I love this site thanks. I ordered my seeds on Sunday morning anf they turned up yesterday. Its great that they are smaller packets so you can try even more varieties.

I have had another Moreveg incident ! Am now awaiting pumpkins, asparagus, spring onions, dwarf french beans, sweetcorn, leek, red cabbage and comfrey so hopefully will arrive so can sow over the weekend.

It is a bit flipping addictive this seed malarky, quite what I am going to do with all the petunias and snapdragons I have on the window sill I have no idea - I only have them because we collected the seed from the garden for free !

It's not just me then- and i'm not going a bit over the top (well maybe a bit ) obsessing about what i've planted and what i want to plant next lol

It's going to be awful when i get paid- i get all excited walking through wilkinsons to the seed isle, they have all sorts that catch my eye- i've already decided i'm getting the courgette set.

My OH thinks i'm going mad- but he's got his own obsession (His car!) so he kinda understands what i'm going through

At least your hobby is more productive than a car !

To atone, I have been in the garden and potting up hellebore seedings so more plants for free, does that cancel out £5.25 of seeds ?!

                      Hi everyone

l have lots of seeds packets and when i have gone through those making my notes, I then start on the seed catalogues. That makes me a member of SHA (seed hoarders anonymous). I'm going to check that web site out now.

My seeds have arrived, more impressive service. Also the nematodes that DH has ordered have come so they can go out the weekend and help protect my seedlings which are probably rocket & spinach (DH forgot to label).

The parsnip seeds that I got from moreveg just after Easter are being chitted on damp tissue paper, 5 have now germinated which is more than can be said for DH's courgette seeds ! I am getting to the stage now where I seriously need to think about seed storage and a spreadsheet as I am losing track a bit.

One of the cucumbers is now through , the nasturtium I popped in a hanging basket with some tomatoes, dill, more basil and some leeks. So one of those lovely days when you find lots of new things coming through.

Ive had some more seeds come from moreveg today and planted up already!
Sent Rachel and email thanking her for the great service and telling her ive spread the word. She sent a lovely comps slip with my order saying she was glad to hear from me again and she was still glowing from the praise lol!
So much choice without 2,000 seeds in a pack!

Hi Chelle, I had to sort through many, many packets searching desperately for a packet of coriander I was convinced I had. Went through them all three times (must get them organised). Must have had a senior moment, I've sown them in trays already. Either that or I've got too many trays of seeds, so why I am I still looking for more?
