i sowed my leeks at the end of january in 3" paper pots, they are doing very well at around 4-5" and 3-4 in each pot, my question is, do i wait until they are pencil thick and transplant them seperately into deep holes or should i plant them as they are ( i saw this method used somewhere as they apparently push each other apart to find their own space), and if the later do they need earthing up and is it possible that they wont grow very large due to the closeness (sp) of them?
, also when would you suggest these are planted out, they are outside at the moment.
