My peas (Feltham First) are making tiny pea pods. They were sown in autumn though
I soaked mine for about 4hrs, sowed them in paper pots inside. Then as soon as they germinated (3/4 days) moved them out to plastic greenhouse then once they were 5/6" high planted them out under plastic bottles... my mange touts (sown 23rd March) were planted out a couple of days ago.

Hi 159, it's not really getting late for sowing things, I see you're in Scotland, your season could be at least a couple of weeks later than further south, if not more. I always sow more peas and beans a bit later on, you can put them straight in the ground and they will be ready when your current ones are done, peas particularly seem to crop over a fairly short time span, especially if they are an F1, so don't worry about it being too late, if you've got space to spare it's worth giving it a go

I've got 10 pea plants and 10 broad beans plants in a raised bed. I've left enough room between the plants to put more in. I'm just not sure at what point to do this. Should I wait till the original ones are flowering?Susiewoosie
