Well I've only just managed or should I say made myself go into the garden. I'm having one of my bad days where even the back garden seems far away. Since yesterday though my spring onions have come through. I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day for me and I manage to sort more veggies and containers outSusiewoosie

Another addict
Hi,
I think I am addicted too! Our next door neighbour mentioned in passing that he was getting an allotment, and so we decided to enquire on the basis that we would take over an old plot and build up gradually.
That was two months ago - we got the allotment and haven't looked back - I never thought I'd say this but I am even giving up golf this year! So far I have built a greenhouse in the back garden, dug over a quarter of our allotment (badly overgrown) and planted spuds, taken apart a footstool to make into a planter for shallots in the back garden, built a rabbit wire fence, taken apart some old solid wood fencing (will make raised beds out of them), and we have nearly every windowsill upstairs with young veg on them!
I still have to build a gate (will do so out of a pallet), raised beds for the carrots and parsnips, compost bins x 2 (again out of pallets), find a shed, and dig the remaining ground - to be honest I have never worked so hard (I was down at the allotment at 6.30am yesterday just to make sure I got all the spuds in) and found it so enjoyable!

Well the base isn't getting done today. Apparently the 2 people who were coming to do it were run off the road and ended in a ditch. They were both okay but its means they won't be coming today, not sure about tomorrow either. Its raining quite heavilly here at the moment.Susiewoosie
