Well the base isn't getting done today. Apparently the 2 people who were coming to do it were run off the road and ended in a ditch. They were both okay but its means they won't be coming today, not sure about tomorrow either. Its raining quite heavilly here at the moment.

Hi Susie, Hope you are feeling better- even if things haven't turned out as well as you would like so far today.

I got my herb pot as a gift from my Other halfs mum, the seeds that came with it i planted but all died Haven't had much look with growing herbs so far so i'm really hoping the seeds i have plated in the pot now actually work out this time!

A similar thing happened to a pizza delivery man on his way to our house a few years ago... when told over the phone what had occurred... the first thing my ex said was 'So are we getting the pizza or not?'

I planted my broad beans out today so fingers crossed they do okay. The peas seemed to have survived their traumatic start and are looking good.

Was browsing in littlewods catalogue today and they sell dwarf fruit trees so I managed to order 3 of them. I used my commission so I'm telling myself they didn't cost anything Also went on Ebay (really should ban myself from that site) and bought lots of herb plants. I also bought some of the plastic pot bag thingys. They are 22" diameter and say they are 50L I thought they would be okay for my butternut squash and courgettes. Heres hoping anyway

AAAArgh I've run out of containers. I've just finished potting my herbs up and that was the last container. Thank goodness I've got some more coming from Ebay. I've noe got 5 raised beds, 5 50L plastic containers, 16 black flower pots, a big pot with strawberrys in, and 2 big pots for runner beans.
Need more compost as well.

The title to this thread is `totally obsessed`,and i think i have the same symptoms.

Only three weeks ago i was talking to a work colleague who grows his own veg and i think he must have lit the touch paper in my head.I cannot get veg outta my head.(sounds like a Kylie song doesn't it).

I have just ordered a new greenhouse and got some seeds in propagator which i hope will be ready for when the greenhouse arrives.They say anything up to 28 days but i`m chomping at the bit now waiting.

I make my brother and sister in law walk round and look at the containers everytime they visit. I can't wait to pick a meal from them. I got really excited today because one of the strawberry flowers had opened

Two sheds i feel your pain. my OH is exactly the same. even if i bbq he'd rather eat inside! don't worry about it, that's what this site is for...we can all gee each other up! it's take time but my OH at least doesn't mind that i have the hobby of pottering down the lottie and no longer gets impatient at my overflowing windwsills of seedlings! mind you it's our 20th wedding anniversary next month so it's the least he can put up with :¬o

oh susiesusiesusie, do you lie in bed and make countless lists of growing and planting information, seeds to sow, where to plant things? do you have all your allotment and gardening books under your bed and pop down to the kitchen to check your seedlings? welcome the obsessives club then! my husband says i have a gardeners library under our bed!

I check everything first thing in the morning No I don't have books under the bed, of course not. They are by the side of the bed mucg easier to reach, I do dream of my veggies
