So sorry to read of your loss, but it's lovely she gave you such an interest in growing. Having lost my Dad a while back, and with my Mum currently quite poorly in hospital, I really sympathise with you.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
    Now a little Shrinking Violet.

Hey; BayleySugar / BarleyAnn; looked at your Blogger profile interests "Gardening, Computers, Cats". If you'd included 'dogs' I'd've proposed by IM

I hope your Mum recovers, and if that does not happen, I hope, like my Mum it's peaceful, at home, with family around. In the name of sweetcorn I'm glad it was that way for mine.

        Sorry about your Mum.

You are doing a brilliant job on that balcony.

Kath: Also many, many thanks to you. And Spooky!: Your interests ("reading, cardmaking, growing stuff") would be a carbon-copy of my Mum if you included her animals! She left behind many, many hand-made cards... However I believe her dogs came above my sister and myself in the Totem-pole of love Fantastic lady

Wait until July and that balcony will be kikkin'!!
