can u grow carrots in .....

    is the entire carrot supposed to be under the soil when they are growing - like spuds? What do you do if you start seeing the carrot 'shoulders' coming up? do you throw earth on to cover them like you would spuds? Does it matter if they go green?

    Had carrots in ground last year & the seeds got scratched up by cats - did some in flower pots they were fine. Am doing the same this year and have got parmex (ball shape) mini finger and chanteney red cored

        I also do Armadillos...
        My broad beans sowed on 21st March are just appearing. The larger leaves in the middle are radishes.

          thanx 4 all the replies, i can tell you that even tho its only been a week i can see the shots coming up already for my carrots , have also planted runner beans, french beans, tomato's, courgettes,lettuce and radish so heres to hoping all goes well
